William Brown – National EMS Biography
William E. Brown, Jr.
William E. Brown, Jr. (Bill) retired as the Executive Director of the National Registry of EMTs (NREMT) after 28 years of service.
His lifetime in EMS started with a distinguished military career, followed by the procurement of a multi-disciplinary education and clinical experience, and served as a University instructor of Paramedics. Mr. Brown was employed by the NREMT in 1985 and chosen as it’s second Executive Director in 1989. Bill served on multiple National EMS Committees and was involved in many EMS projects. The NREMT grew in acceptance under his term, transitioned from pencil-paper examinations to a CAT environment.
